Overview

Norton Ghost 14.0 protects PCs, including all applications, settings, folders and files with advanced backup and recovery. It allows users to protect their documents, financial records, preentations, photos, music, videos or any other data on the computer.

Users can choose to back up selected files or folders or the entire hard disk. New features of this version include offsite backups and Symentec ThreatCon integrations, as well as enhanced performance, remote management, LightsOut Restore capability, and more.

• Offers full system backup (disk image); everything on a hard drive or a partition can be backed up
• Ability to backup specific files and folders instead of the entire drive
• Provides for a FTP backup through a FTP site, in which all the files are copied into, for easier back up
• Offsite backup allows the backup of your files to NAS (Network-Attached Storage) devices
• Symantec ThreatCon integration triggers incremental backups whenever ThreatCon reaches a specified threat level. Handy for computers without virus protection
• Ability to back up only those files which have changed
• Searchable backup indexes using Google Desktop™ integration makes data recovery even faster.
• LightsOut Restore option restores the system with an on-disk software recovery environment for which there is no bootable CD required.
• Remote management controls other Norton Ghost installations (12.0 or higher) on your local area network.
• Minimizes storage space and helps keep sensitive documents safe through the advanced compression and encryption feature
